Hi everyone, my name is Ava and I am so excited to be serving as Zeta Epsilon’s Vice President of Recruitment for the 2022 year! I would like to welcome you to our recruitment page.

My job as the VPR is to collaboratively plan recruitment events with Carleton University Sororities (CUS) during the fall and within our own chapter in the winter, as well as overseeing all public relations. When we plan our events, we do so with the hope that every single person is included and will see themselves connecting to the values of our organization. With an active chapter of over 50 individuals and a local alumni network of over 150 people, the support I receive from other members is indescribable.

Joining DPhiE has given me the chance to (safely) connect with other Carleton students and alumni during the Covid-19 pandemic and excel as an individual. I am so grateful for all the opportunities this organization has given me and all the connections it helped grow and create. Online school is a challenge, but attending DPhiE's online events has provided me with the social and academic balance I missed during the early months of the pandemic.

When you join DPhiE, you’re joining something so much bigger than yourself, than Carleton, than Ottawa. With over 100 years of international history, we are made up of thousands of individuals living by our motto Esse Quam Videri (to be, rather than to seem to be) working together to bring out the best in each of our members, and pushing each other to become our best selves. Delta Phi Epsilon is scholarship, service, sisterhood, self, and social. We are here to give you the most well-rounded university experience possible.

I sincerely hope that everyone who participates in recruitment experiences the same feelings of belonging that I did when I participated in recruitment in fall 2020. On behalf of our chapter, we look forward to meeting you during recruitment, and we can’t wait to help you find your home!
